After successfully investing and launching Shanghai’s famous brand “MerryLin”
and operating 3 star hotels & 4 star hotels, Shanghai MerryLin Restaurant
Limited Co launched Shanghai Motel Management Limited Co. in 2002 thus, the
“Motel 168” brand was created to compete in the express budget hotel industry.
This brand is the first budget hotel in China to express the concept of “Motor
Lodge”, initially it was launched to suite the national situation in China
during that period of time. The brand Motel 168 strategy focused on “fashion

rooms is approximately 25,000 with 10,000 restaurant seats as well. The Motel
168 brand has been voted as one of the top 3 budget hotel brands in China.
The Motel brand is totally designed and constructed to meet international
suitable standards. The Motel 168 provides amenities such as satellite
television, national/international long distance calling, ADSL high-speed
internet, standard Western bathrooms, silent ventilation systems, and
controlled lighting, these amenities allow for a warm family environment for
hotel guests. In addition, MerryLin Cafeteria is located within some Motel 168
chains in order to meet the customers dining needs. The motel also provides
complimentary parking for the guests. The company focuses on the modern design
